Dr. Courtney has over a decade of experience administering botulinum toxins and will give you her recommendation after a complimentary consultation and diagnosis.
COMPLIMENTARY ENHANCEMENTS
We like to see you 2-3 weeks after your initial treatment to evaluate if you need any enhancements.
In this time period, if needed and indicated as necessary by Dr. Courtney, we’ll give up to 4 units of complimentary botulinum toxin as long as it’s in the original treatment area. If more than 4 units of botulinum toxin are needed or if you would like to add an area and decrease muscle activity even further, you will be charged our regular fee of $17 per unit for any additional botulinum toxin with no minimum.
LASTING RESULTS
Treatment lasts up to 3-6 months depending on the patient’s own metabolism and daily activity. With both Xeomin and Botox Cosmetic wrinkle relaxer products, it takes 3-5 days for most patients to feel a decreased muscle strength and 10-14 days to realize the full effects.
WHAT IS BOTOX?
Over time, your facial expressions can create static and dynamic wrinkles that further develop into deeper wrinkles over time. Botox is injected into the targeted muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and unwanted wrinkles.
PREVENTATIVE/”BABY” BOTOX
The goal is to target and smooth wrinkles on the forehead, eyes, and frown lines to create a more youthful, hydrated appearance before the wrinkles set in. The typical amount of units needed is ~ 20 units.
FOREHEAD LINES
We discourage treating just the forehead lines without treating the glabella region as this can cause your brows to drop and give you an even angrier look. The typical amount of units needed to treat the forehead (frontalis muscle) is ~ 10-20 units.
BUNNY LINES
These are the fine lines on either side of the nose, usually resulting from scrunching your nose excessively. The typical amount of units varies between 1-2 units per side and is recommended in addition to treating the glabella complex.
BOTOX LIP FLIP
Achieve subtle pout-magnification without the need of filler by flipping the lip line and rolling the lip gently outwards to give the appearance of a fuller pout. $300 flat fee
SUPPLEMENTARY AREAS
We offer other supplementary areas to help achieve your desired look. Areas include: platysmal “necklace” bands, mentalis chin muscles, brow lifts, frown lines. $17 per unit
WHY ALL THIS TALK ABOUT “UNITS OF BOTOX?”
A unit of Botox is the way to measure the amount of Botox that’s injected into the muscles. The cost for each unit can range from $10 – $30 and the amount of units needed per patient varies depending on the muscles treated. At Smile Pop, we charge $17 per unit and Dr. Courtney, a licensed injector, will recommend appropriate starting doses.
“ELEVENS” / GLABELLA COMPLEX
If you’ve been furrowing your brows for years, you’re probably familiar with these. These are the vertical wrinkles between your eyebrows that are formed from three muscles and typically require the most amount of wrinkle relaxer after your chewing (masseter) muscles. The typical amount of units ranges between 20-25 units
CROW’S FEET
The goal is to target and smooth the lines found on the edges of the eyes near the temples and the muscle that gets treated is the orbicularis oculi. After treating this area, you’ll look like you just had the best sleep of your life. The typical amount of units varies between 6-12 units per side.
TMJ / MASSETER / JAW SLIMMING BOTOX
The goal is to relieve clenching, grinding, and TMJ soreness with botulinum toxin in the masseter muscles and temporalis muscles. This treatment can also result in a slimmer, tapered lower face. The typical amount of units varies between 10-30 units per side.
